Coverage for Employees
The prescription drug plan for employees and their eligible dependent(s) is administered through CVS Caremark. Employees are automatically enrolled for prescription drug coverage in CVS Caremark when they enroll in one of the following health plans:
- BlueCard Out-of-State PPO
- Blue Care Network HMO
- Community Blue PPO
- Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) with HSA

Coverage for Retirees
The prescription drug plan for retirees and their eligible dependent(s) is administered through Humana and Personify Health. Retirees are automatically enrolled for prescription drug coverage as part of the MSU Medicare Advantage Plan or the MSU Non-Medicare Plan.

Rx Kids
Rx Kids is led by Mona Hanna, MD, MPH, a pediatrician and director of the Michigan State University-Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health Initiative.
Rx Kids aims to provide cash payments to every expectant mother and infant in the municipalities the program serves. In doing so, the aim is to improve infant and maternal health, the economic and mental wellbeing of participants, and community-wide outcomes.
