University Retirement Form

Instructions for completing the university retirement form.  You can submit your completed form up to 120 days in advance of your planned last day of work (for support staff positions) and up to 365 days in advance of your planned retirement date (for faculty, academic staff and executive management positions).  If you will be retiring by using one of the special situations (Leave to Retirement option, Tenured System Faculty Consultantship option, or a written Special Agreement), you must use the Special Retirement Form

Emeritum Status

Emeritum status may be awarded to faculty, academic staff and administrators who officially retire from MSU.  Emeritum status is not granted automatically, it is requested and reviewed through an approval process.  Please review the policy that governs Emeritum decisions, and the process to request Emeritum status.

Following Official Retirement from MSU

These resources include health and dental plan coverage for surviving spouses or Other Eligible Individuals, medicare and social security information, open enrollment information and University non Contributory Retirement Plan (UNCRP).
