charts SUMMARY page (HRP1102)
The Succession Planning report (HRP1102) provides summary data of the organization(s) and/or department(s) chosen in chart form of the percentages and numbers of when employees are eligible to retire, and the current average age and years of service of the employees.
After the report prompts are chosen, the report will run and provides an output with three different tabs:
- Charts
- Detail Page
- Prompt Selections
The Charts page (tab) provides summary data in three different charts:
- Retirement Eligibility – Percent of Total
- Retirement Eligibility – Count
- Average Years of Service and Average Age
Retirement Eligibility – Percent of Total Chart
This chart breaks down each personnel subarea (e.g. 1585, APSA, Faculty, etc.) and provides the percentages in a color-legend stacked bar graph for the four main groupings of when employees are eligible to retire: Currently Eligible, Less than 1 Year, 1 to 5 Years, and More Than 5 Years.
(Please note: If you run this report in an Excel application, unfortunately the percentages will show in the hundreds or thousands. This is an IBM Cognos application error and cannot be fixed by MSU.)
Retirement Eligibility – Counts Chart
This chart breaks down each personnel subarea (e.g. 1585, APSA, Faculty, etc.) and provides the actual counts in a color-legend stacked bar graph for the four main groupings of when employees are eligible to retire: Currently Eligible, Less than 1 Year, 1 to 5 Years, and More Than 5 Years.
Average Years of Service and Average Age Chart
This chart breaks down each personnel subarea (e.g. 1585, APSA, Faculty, etc.) and provides the average years of service and average age for the employees chosen.
To have the report run in a different application (i.e. Excel, PDF, etc.), or to rerun the report with different criteria, select the drop-down menu arrow at the top left of the page and choose the appropriate action to run.
