MSU Human Resources is here to Help
With so much change, we’ve heard that some have wondered if in-person customer service is still available at MSU Human Resources. Throughout the pandemic, MSU HR never stopped being available to help MSU employees via phone and email, Teams and Zoom. But we understand that at times, people prefer in-person interactions. That’s why we reinstated in-person service on a by-appointment basis back in August 2021.
Why are appointments better? Because we can be best prepared to give you a good service experience in a confidential setting if we know what you need and when you are coming. Advantages of appointments include:
- More privacy! Nobody should have to discuss private health or employment issues in a crowded lobby where others can overhear or observe your private business.
- No long lines or unpredictable waits!
- No wasted trips! Some requests require advance research, consultation with multiple other departments or time to assemble requested information. Appointments help you avoid making a trip, only to find out you’ll need to come back again later for a resolution.
Just need to drop something off? We have a drop box available in the parking lot of our building at 1407 S. Harrison Road. This drop box is checked every weekday by HR staff who will ensure what you drop off gets delivered to the right Human Resources team — and is the best way to ensure what you drop off gets to the right people as quickly as possible without passing through any unnecessary hands.
