New Hire Orientation is available to newly hired benefits-eligible support staff. The innovative full-day program welcomes and supports new MSU employees.
Who, What, When, Where
- Who: Newly hired benefits-eligible support staff
- What: NHO covers essential topics such as employee benefits, payroll, policies, and university systems. Our program fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment while prioritizing operational excellence. New employees will meet with key university departments, receive an overview of our comprehensive benefits program, and become familiar with MSU’s organizational structure.
- When: Bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Where: In-Person at MSU Human Resources, 1407 S. Harrison Rd, Room 10A (lower level).

Invitations & Off-week Communication
Benefits-eligible support staff will receive an orientation invitation email from the Solutions Center during their first week of employment.
If their start date falls during an off-week, new Spartans will receive an email containing a Benefits Overview Video and related resources to help them prepare for benefits enrollment in advance of their scheduled orientation.
