Service Recognition Program for Support Staff

Planning for this year's MSU Service and Retirement Recognition reception is currently underway, with an event scheduled on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, which will recognize service anniversary milestones from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 and retirements from January 1 - December 31, 2025. 

The MSU Service and Retirement Recognition reception is held annually in the spring, during which the university honors long-term support staff celebrating a 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, or 55th service anniversary or a retirement from the previous calendar year.

We are thankful for our employees’ dedicated service to MSU and look forward to celebrating our employees at this event for their talent, loyalty, and contributions to MSU. Our university’s development and growth have been, in large part, due to the contributions made by staff members like them, particularly those who have chosen to remain in the service of the university.

The recognition program has been customized so that each employee celebrating a years of service milestone may select a gift to meet their individual tastes and preferences. Gifts are provided by O.C. Tanner and will be offered via email to 2026 service anniversary honorees in April 2026. Those celebrating a 2025 retirement will receive a gift automatically.
