Service Recognition Program for Support Staff

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to this unprecedented public health situation, the ceremony and reception to celebrate this award for 2021 has been canceled. This was a difficult decision; however, it is vital that we take every precaution to safeguard and promote the safety of our employees.

Michigan State University has been advancing the common good with uncommon will for more than 150 years. Our university's development and growth have been, in large part, due to the contributions made by it staff members, particularly those who have chosen to remain in the service of the university.

MSU takes pleasure in recognizing years of service for these employees. The University honors long term staff and retirees at the annual Retirement and Service Recognition program, which is held every spring. This occasion is dedicated to those who have served the university through the years of its greatest development. It is a tribute to those who have found satisfaction in helping others and creating an impact for a better world.

The awards program has been customized so that each employee may select a gift to meet his or her individual tastes and preferences. Available awards may be viewed by accessing the Retirement and Service Recognition Awards page.
