Note: Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 10 on October 14, 2025; the last successfully tested browser versions for Windows 10 were: Google Chrome 129, Microsoft Edge 129, and Firefox ESR 142. Please move to Windows 11 or macOS.

- Find your Operating System and browser and move right across the row. Look down the column of a specific EBS application for compatibility status and notes for the OS/Browser.
- “Yes” status indicates tested OS/browser combination is supported for that EBS application.
- Refer to underlined/linked Notes in cells above for additional support information by application.
- Browser/OS combinations listed here are the only options officially tested by MSU for EBS
- Currently best EBS results occur using Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) browser with Windows, and Safari browser with macOS.
General Compatibility Notes (Note A and Note B)
- . EBS Compatibility Testing typically occurs annually in the Fall for current versions of Windows and Apple Mac Operating Systems (OS) and web browsers that are officially supported by EBS application vendors. Users with older OS and browser software versions should refer to their local technical support area for upgrade information and options.
- . Only the “Extended Support Release” (ESR) version of Firefox is tested and officially supported. Link: Firefox ESR download. Please refer to local technical support area for questions and assistance with this installation.
Compatibility Notes for Analytics and Data Solutions (ADS/Cognos)
ADS1. Cognos Query Studio option is no longer supported by IBM Cognos. Please use Cognos Report Studio for your reporting needs.
