SAP GUI for Windows

With the December, 2021 update to the EBS Portal, outdated versions of the SAP GUI for Windows will give the following error. The current version of the SAP GUI for Windows is 770. This problem is normally with version 750 , which is no longer supported by the vendor.

How do I check which version I have?

 

 

PREFERRED OPTION: Update your Computer

...to SAP GUI for Windows to version 770

The preferred step to take is to update your version of the SAP GUI for Windows. Here is the link to do that:

(Support for SAP GUI for WIndows version 760 ends April 11, 2022 and should be updated as well).

 

WORKAROUND OPTION: Change a Setting

...on your Outdated SAP GUI for Windows

Alternatively, you can change a setting on your version of the SAP GUI for Windows. This is a TEMPORARY solution only, until your software can be upgraded. This version of the SAP GUI for Windows is no longer supported.

Steps:

1. Log into the EBS Portal
2. Click the “HR-Payroll System” tile
   
3. The SAP GUI for Windows will launch
4. In the toolbar go to “Menu” or “More”
5. Choose Help
6. Choose "Settings..."
   
7. Then “F4 Help" tab,
8. On the left bottom select 'Dialog' radio button
   
9. Now press enter or select the green check mark on bottom to save the settings
