Edit Business Address

Business address information is maintained for all employees except student employees and appears in MSU PeopleSearch.

Steps

  1. Enter Employee name or Personnel number.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Select an employee’s assignment.
  4. From Administrative Address, Enter Location ID for the Building.
  5. Click Update.
  6. Enter Room/Suite # and any other Address information.
  7. Click Update.

After completion or review of variations click the house to return home, log out if finished or use the search to find another application.

Variations

  • Step 4, From Work Location, enter Location ID for the Building, skip step 6.
  • Step 4, From Work Location, click Delete work location, skip step 6,7.

FAQ

Can employees change their own business address or phone number?

No, a Unit Administrator must make the change.

Can administrative addresses be completely deleted?

Only for certain types of employees, such as no pay employees.

Can an employee’s business address or phone number be restricted?

Yes, employee business addresses and phone numbers can be restricted if the employee has a PPO (personal protection order).  In these cases, contact Solutions Center for assistance.

Is International address information recognized?

No, international address and phone number information cannot be entered.  Contact Solutions Center for assistance.

Why does the system not recognize the Location ID (building number) I enter in?

Different applications use different building numbers, please use look up to find location ID (building number) within the application.

Why can’t I enter a business address for student, graduate assistant, or undergraduate and professorial assistants?

Student employees update their address information through StuInfo.
