Data Definitions (HRP909)

The data columns used in the Promotion and Tenure Granted by MAU report are defined on this page.  

  1. Organization:  The primary college or MAU in which the employee(s) are assigned.  
  2. Department:  The primary department in which the employee is assigned.  
  3. Personnel Number:  An HR/Payroll system generated number linking a person to their benefits eligible assignment.
  4. Professional Name:  The professional name of the employee as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  5. Employment Percent:  The percent of employment the employee is working.
  6. Ethnic ID:  The employee’s ethnicity as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  7. Gender Name:  The employee’s gender as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  8. Employment Status:  The employee’s employment status as of the date the report was generated.
  9. Employee Primary Assignment Start Date:  The entered date in the HR/Payroll system the employee’s primary assignment started.  
  10. Employee Primary Assignment End Date:   The date the employee’s primary assignment is to end.  If an end date is not entered in the HR/Payroll system, it will default to 12/31/9999.
  11. Primary Assignment End Date:  The date entered in the HR/Payroll system as to when the employee’s primary assignment is to end.  
  12. Job Code:  The employee’s primary job code in which the employee is assigned.
  13. Job Title:  The employee’s primary job title or classification in which the employee is assigned.
  14. Assignment Type Name:   The employee’s assignment type, i.e., Adjunct, Clinical, Visiting, Emeritus, Interim, Acting.
  15. Contract Name:  The work contract: Fixed Term, Tenure/Contin, Contract, Roll/Fixed Cntr (if applicable).
  16. Employee Group Name:  Union, Non-Union. The employee group allows you to divide your employees into groups and allows you to define their relationship to the enterprise. It classifies employees into general groups for processing of Payroll, Time, and Benefits.
  17. Employee Subgroup Code:  HR/Payroll system code for the employee subgroup assigned to the employee.
  18. Employee Subgroup Name:  A further breakdown of Employee Group. All control features of the Personnel Structure are defined at the Employee Subgroup level including specific payroll calculations for hourly or salaried employees, work schedules, and benefit groupings.
  19. Status Name:  The Tenure status of the employee.  
  20. Tenure Cont Status Granted Date:  Indicates the date the department granted the employee tenure/continuing status.
  21. Tenure Cont Granting Dept:  Indicates the department code that granted the employee tenure/continuing status.
  22. Date of Entry Promo to Cur Rnk:  Indicates the date the employee was promoted to current rank
  23. Date Entered Tenure Cont System:  Indicates the Date the department initially entered the employee into the tenure / continuing system.
  24. Action Start Date:  The effective date of the action(s) selected for the search on the employee record.
  25. Action Type:  The type of action entered on the employee record in the HR/Payroll system.  
  26. Action Reason:  The reason why the action was entered on the employee record in the HR/Payroll system.
  27. Previous Organization:  The previous college or MAU in which the employee was assigned.
  28. Previous Department:   The previous department in which the employee was assigned.
  29. Previous Job Title:  The previous job title in which the employee was assigned.
