Data Definitions (HRP1228)

The data columns used in Tenure Exemption and Visa Status for Supervisors report are defined on this page.

  1. Supervisor_Department: The primary department of the supervisor generating the report.
  2. Supervisor_Name: The professional name of the supervisor.
  3. Supervisor_Position Number: The supervisor’s position number. 
  4. Organization Code-Name:  The primary college or MAU in which the employee is assigned.
  5. Department Code-Name: The primary department in which the employee is assigned.
  6. Sub-Org Code-Name: The primary sub-org in which the employee is assigned.
  7. Reportee_Personnel Number: An HR/Payroll system generated number linking a person to an assignment. A person with concurrent employment will have multiple PERNRs but only one PERSID.
  8. Reportee_Position Number: The employee’s position number. 
  9. Reportee_Name: The professional name of the employee as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  10. Job Title: The employee's primary job title or classification based on the job code in which the employee is assigned.
  11. Hire Date: The date the employee was hired for the assignment/position.
  12. Visa Type:  The employee’s visa type as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.  Foreign professors, teachers, or researchers are usually granted a ‘J-1’ visa.  Foreign students are usually granted a ‘F-1’ visa. 
  13. Expiration Date: The employee’s visa expiration date. 
  14. Citizenship Status:  The employee’s residence status as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  15. Date Entered Tenure/Continuing System: Indicates the date the employee initially entered the tenure/continuing system. 
  16. Tenure Granting Dept: Indicates the department that granted the employee tenure/continuing status.
  17. Tenure Exemption Agreement Date:  Indicates the date of the exemption agreement. 
  18. Tenure Status: The employee’s tenure status.  With Tenure or Tenure Sys Prob.
  19. Probation Status: The latest probationary task of one of the following is shown; Probation Expiration, Probation Ex COVID19, and Probation Extension
  20. Probation Expire Date:     The expire date of the latest probationary task.
