Data Definitions (HRP1227)

The data columns used in Tenure Exemption and Visa Status report are defined on this page.

  1. Organization Code-Name:  The primary college or MAU the employee is assigned.
  2. Department Code-Name: The primary department the employee is assigned.
  3. Sub-Org Code-Name: The primary sub-org the employee is assigned.
  4. Personnel Number: An HR/Payroll system generated number linking a person to an assignment. A person with concurrent employment will have multiple PERNRs but only one PERSID.
  5. Professional Name: The professional name of the employee as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  6. Job Title: The employee's primary job title or classification based on the job code the employee is assigned.
  7. Hire Date: The date the employee was hired for the assignment/position.
  8. Visa Type:  The employee’s visa type as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.  Foreign professors, teachers, or researchers are usually granted a ‘J-1’ visa.  Foreign students are usually granted a ‘F-1’ visa. 
  9. Expiration Date: The employee’s visa expiration date. 
  10. Citizenship Status:  The employee’s residence status as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  11. Date Entered Tenure/Continuing System: Indicates the date the employee initially entered the tenure/continuing system. 
  12. Tenure Granting Dept: Indicates the department that granted the employee tenure/continuing status.
  13. Tenure Exemption Agreement Date:  Indicates the date of the exemption agreement. 
  14. Tenure Status: The employee’s tenure status.  With Tenure or Tenure Sys Prob.
  15. Probation Status: The latest probationary task of one of the following is shown; Probation Expiration, Probation Ex COVID19, and Probation Extension
  16. Probation Expire Date:   The expire date of the latest probationary task.
