Data Definitions (HRP1113)

The data columns used in the Faculty and Academic Staff Salary Analysis report are defined on this page.

  1. Organization Code:  The primary college or MAU code in which the employee is assigned.
  2. Organization Name:  The primary college or MAU name in which the employee is assigned.
  3. Department Code:  The primary department code in which the employee is assigned.
  4. Department Name:   The primary department name in which the employee is assigned.
  5. SubOrg Code:  The primary sub-org code in which the employee is assigned.
  6. SubOrg Name:  The primary sub-org name in which the employee is assigned.
  7. Personnel Number:  An HR/Payroll system generated number linking a person to their benefits eligible assignment.
  8. Professional Last Name:  The professional last name of the employee as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  9. Professional First Name:  The professional first name of the employee as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  10. Professional Middle Name:  The professional middle name of the employee as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  11. Gender Name:   The employee’s gender as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  12. Years of Service:  Indicates the number of years the employee has been employed without any breaks in service.
  13. Race/Ethnicity:  The employee’s race/ethnicity as indicated in the HR/Payroll system.
  14. Job Title:  The employee’s primary job title or classification in which the employee is assigned.
  15. Assignment Type:  The employee’s primary personnel area assigned.  The principal organization aspects of HR are controlled at this level, including work schedules, pay scales, public holiday calendar, and wage types.
  16. Job Employment Category Name:  The employee’s primary job employment category in which the employee is assigned.  
  17. Primary Assignment Also Reports to 2:  The second department name related to the primary department in which the employee is assigned.
  18. Primary Assignment Also Reports to 3:  The third department name related to the primary department in which the employee is assigned.
  19. Primary Assignment Also Reports to 4:  The fourth department name related to the primary department in which the employee is assigned.
  20. Primary Assignment Also Reports to 5:  The fifth department name related to the primary department in which the employee is assigned.
  21. Contract Name:  The employee’s work contract: Fixed Term, Tenure/Contin, Contract, Roll/Fixed Cntr (if applicable).
  22. <PriorYear> Employment %:  The employee’s employment percentage during the prior year.  
  23. <PriorYear> Appointment Type:  The employee’s assigned appointment type in the prior year.  
  24. Oct 1, <PriorYear> Annual Salary:   The employee’s annual salary as of Oct 1, in the prior year.  
  25. Oct 1, <PriorYear> FTE Salary:  The employee’s FTE salary as of Oct 1, in the prior year based on the prior year employment percentage.  
  26. <2ndPriorYear> Employment %:  The employee’s employment percentage during the 2nd prior year.
  27. <2ndPriorYear> Appointment Type:  The employee’s assigned appointment type in the 2nd prior year.
  28. Oct 1, <2ndPriorYear> Annual Salary:  The employee’s annual salary as of Oct 1, in the 2nd prior year.
  29. Oct 1, <2ndPriorYear> FTE Salary:  The employee’s FTE salary as of Oct 1, in the 2nd prior year based on the 2nd prior year employment percentage.
  30. <2ndPriorYear>/<PriorYear> Salary Difference:  The dollar difference between the prior year and 2nd prior year annual salary.  
  31. <2ndPriorYear>/<PriorYear> Pct Difference:  The percent difference between the prior year and 2nd prior year annual salary.
  32. <3rdPriorYear> Employment %:  The employee’s employment percentage during the 3rd prior year.
  33. <3rdPriorYear> Appointment Type:  The employee’s annual salary as of Oct 1, in the 3rd prior year.
  34. Oct 1, <3rdPriorYear> Annual Salary:  The employee’s annual salary as of Oct 1, in the 3rd prior year.
  35. Oct 1, <3rdPriorYear> FTE Salary:  The employee’s FTE salary as of Oct 1, in the 3rd prior year based on the 3rd prior year employment percentage.
  36. <3rdPriorYear>/<2ndPriorYear> Salary Difference:  The dollar difference between the 2nd prior year and 3rd prior year annual salary.
  37. <3rdPriorYear>/<2ndPriorYear> Pct Difference:  The percent difference between the 2nd prior year and 3rd prior year annual salary.
  38. <4thPriorYear> Employment %:  The employee’s employment percentage during the 4th prior year.
  39. <4thPriorYear> Appointment Type:  The employee’s annual salary as of Oct 1, in the 4th prior year.
  40. Oct 1, <4thPriorYear> Annual Salary:  The employee’s annual salary as of Oct 1, in the 4th prior year.
  41. Oct 1, <4thPriorYear> FTE Salary:  The employee’s FTE salary as of Oct 1, in the 4th prior year based on the 4th prior year employment percentage.
  42. <4thPriorYear>/<3rdPriorYear> Salary Difference:  The dollar difference between the 3rd prior year and 4th prior year annual salary.
  43. <4thPriorYear>/<3rdPriorYear> Pct Difference:  The percent difference between the 3rd prior year and 4th prior year annual salary.
