Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP)

Did you know that Michigan residents can save for their loved one’s college expenses through the State of Michigan’s 529 college savings program, called the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP)?  You can learn more about the MESP at www.misaves.com.

You may not know that the MESP is administered by TIAA, the same organization that many faculty and staff use to help with their MSU retirement savings account. A MESP representative, who is a TIAA consultant, can meet with individuals one-on-one to provide information about the benefits of the 529 college savings program. The following is the contact information to schedule a meeting with Sal Vassallo at the local TIAA office:

Phone: 517-203-3656
Email: sal.vassallo@tiaa.org

Office Location:
4660 S. Hagadorn suite 130
