2.2.2. Criterion II – Scholarly and Creative Activities
The purpose of this criterion is to evaluate the archivist's involvement in pursuits of a scholarly, and/or creative nature; and to assess the archivist's capability for future growth in such activities. Emphasis is placed upon the quality of the activities. No priority of elements included in the criterion is intended.
- Attainment of, or progress toward, additional degrees or professional certification.
- Publications, scholarly manuscripts, and/or creative manuscripts submitted for publication
- Book reviews, newsletter articles, blog posts, and/or columns for archival publications or web sites
- Conference papers, lectures, seminars, etc.
- Instruction/teaching (other than that done for the department, for example – Evening College, workshop for archival organization)
- Grant proposals
- Exhibits and creation of web pages
- Participation in podcasts
- Appropriate non-degree course work and/or continuing education activities.
- Serving as an editor, abstractor, indexer, translator, etc.
- Participating as a mentee in a mentoring relationship
