Retirement Plan Fee Credit

As a result of the reduction in total fund expenses, a fee credit will be allocated this month to participants with legacy accounts. This affects those with pre-2012 Fidelity or TIAA accounts with a balance.

Campuswide Health Screening Form

All faculty, staff, student employees and students should use the university's official health screening form. Units should use this form moving forward rather than any forms created in the unit. MSU IT and the University Physician’s office have created this form and own this information.

New Guidelines for Colorectal Cancer Screenings

During colorectal cancer awareness month, we're sharing important new guidelines and resources. Colorectal cancer screening is now recommended for people 45 and older based on an increasing number of diagnoses for individuals under 50. MSU Health Care’s primary care, imaging services and pharmacy can assist with managing your health, diagnosis and medications if diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

I-9 Reminders for International Employees

As a reminder, I-9 Forms for international employees generally should be completed by the hiring unit or department. Form I-9s for employees needing STEM OPT extensions or employees with H1B visas, can be completed by the Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS). For a list of the most common List A documents, please review the I-9 Quick Tip Guide. View the complete List of acceptable documents for further information. 

Also, please be sure to complete an I-9 form as soon as possible for employees who were originally hired and working out of the country after they arrive in the United States. The employee or department should also notify the Payroll office when an employee has arrived back in the U.S. from a residence outside the country.
